Designing, researching, working closely with international suppliers, sampling, fitting and preparing garment technical drawings/specification packs ready for production.
Closely involved in trims design and product development for all womenswear departments.

Design trip to South Korea, suppliers and factories - May 2013
Worked with the design team in the preparation and collection of Spring/Summer 2012 samples.
Assisted the fitting and measurement processes of these samples.
Worked closely with the merchants to produce a photographic brochure of the samples to send to factories/wholesale.
Worked as part of the 'float' team on the shop floor (shop assistant) and within the Quality Control Department at Edmonton Factory.
Commissioned to illustrate Spring/Summer 2013 and Autumn/Winter 2012 collections after being approached by owner/designer Nick Wakeman at Graduate Fashion Week exhibition. Worked directly from technical drawings to produce coloured illustrations for presentation use at trunk shows and line illustrations for window vinyl display.
2 month fully paid internship in New York City won through a compulsory competition at Kingston University.
Researched and designed a range of jackets for the University Line to be put into production, Spring 2013.
Heavily involved with the CAD for Black Fleece collection. Prepared samples for International Presentation Week, October 2011.
Part of a small team, working closely with the designer to toile garments and developing patterns. Hand sewing and sourcing materials, assisting production team.
Involved with preparations for the A/W 2011-12 fashion show at London Fashion Week, sourcing fabrics and garment preparation. Assisted the design team with print development placement for S/S 2012 collection. Dresser at the Jaeger A/W 2011-12 fashion show.
Participating in the tailoring of men’s’ jackets as part of a small team, including preparing the fabric and trimmings, hand sewing, padding and fittings with the client. Huge emphasis on communication skills and costumer relations.
Placement in this small London Couture House, which involved initial client design discussions, sourcing materials, hand sewing, drafting pattern pieces, viewing client fittings and a photo shoot for their website.
Great expeditions to The South Pole and The Antarctic at the beginning of the twentieth century showcased the best and most appropriate gear for tackling the severe conditions of these previously uncharted territories. When looking at this attire, it is understandable to see why many expeditions were ill fated. The explorers were unsuitably dressed and prepared to deal with their harsh surroundings.
